Within an eight-minute drive of Kailua-Kona and the shops and golf courses of Keauhou, the hotel is adjacent to Kahaluu Beach, which provides some of the best snorkeling on the island. The resort's 10 oceanfront acres were once home to an ancient Hawaiian community, and foundations of two temples, a canoe landing, and petroglyphs remain on the property.
Guests enjoy a Friday prime rib and seafood buffet, or watch the sunset from a terrace bar suspended over tide pools that shelter reef fish and sea turtles.
